Durham Careers in Construction, a non-profit organization, is made up of a group of construction industry professionals and related organizations committed to introducing careers in construction to children beginning in elementary school. Our mission, since our inception in 1998, is to enlighten and teach all children about the sophisticated skills, and careers in our industry. With the continued support from the Durham Public Schools and our sponsors, we are able to sponsor hands-on problem solving competitions that introduce students to the challenges and rewards of careers in construction. Our competition is coupled with classroom learning, continuing throughout the school year. |
